Psychological and mental health tests

These short tests are first-look screening tools that help you see whether talking to a professional could be useful. None of them is a medical or psychological diagnosis.

This questionnaire is a screening tool only and does not provide a medical or psychological diagnosis. If needed, the result should be discussed with a qualified mental health professional.

What are psychological tests for?

These tests help you look more closely at symptoms or patterns you experience, and judge whether talking to a professional could help. The ADHD, anxiety and depression tests use standard international questionnaires (ASRS, GAD-7, PHQ-9); the Anger Rumination Scale is a published research instrument; the relationship check is a self-reflection questionnaire designed by Emotral.

Screening versus professional diagnosis

A screening test takes a few minutes and relies only on your own answers. A diagnosis is made by a psychologist or psychiatrist after an interview, a look at your history and your life circumstances. None of these test results is a diagnosis.

How to choose the right test

Mostly worry and tension: the anxiety test. Low mood, lack of motivation or fatigue: the depression test. Focus and restlessness: the ADHD test. Angry thoughts that linger: the anger rumination scale. Looking at your relationship: the relationship check. Taking more than one is fine.

What to do after your result

Treat the result as a starting point. If symptoms trouble you or affect daily life, you can talk about your result with one of Emotral’s Persian-speaking therapists. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
