PhD دکترا تخصصی روانشناسی
I am Farzad Rasoulof, a psychologist, psychotherapist, and mental health researcher with a Ph.D. in Psychology and more than 12 years of experience in psychotherapy, teaching, and research. Throughout my professional career, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing a wide range of emotional, relational, developmental, and life challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, parenting concerns, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), emotional regulation difficulties, and life crises. I believe that every person, regardless of the intensity or complexity of their struggles, has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change when they are heard, understood, and supported in a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment. In my clinical work, I tailor the treatment approach to each client’s unique needs, circumstances, and goals. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), while also drawing on contemporary findings from neuropsychology and neuroscience. My aim is not only to reduce symptoms, but also to help clients better understand the underlying roots of their difficulties, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and move toward meaningful and lasting change. One of my main areas of expertise is working with children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD, as well as children with behavioral and emotional challenges. I also provide parent coaching and parent training to help families better understand and support their children’s developmental, emotional, and behavioral needs. Alongside my clinical practice, I have been actively involved in university teaching, academic research, and professional workshops, which allows me to continuously integrate current scientific knowledge into my therapeutic work. Now based in Canada, I am honored to support Persian-speaking individuals and families around the world, including those navigating the emotional challenges of immigration, loneliness, life transitions, stress, and personal or family difficulties. If you feel this is the right time to begin a journey toward greater emotional well-being, self-understanding, and a more meaningful life, I would be honored to accompany you on that path.
